Note: If you pre-order a title using a credit or debit card, your method of payment will not be charged until the audiobook is available for download. You’ll receive an email confirming your pre-order and another when the title is available to listen to in your Library.

What’s the Pre-order Price Guarantee?

Audible's price for items not yet released will sometimes change between the time it's listed for sale and the time it's released and available for download. The price we charge once a pre-order is available will be the lowest of (a) the price at the time you placed the order and (b) the price at the time and date the item is released.

Terms and conditions:

• The Pre-order Price Guarantee applies to not-yet-released items available for pre-order. All pre-orders appearing on your Pre-orders page will benefit from the Pre-order Price Guarantee.
• The Pre-order Price Guarantee doesn’t apply to other items that have already been released and are available for purchase and download.
• If the price of an item you have pre-ordered is higher on the release date, Audible will fulfill the order as originally placed so you will be charged the lower order-date price.
• If the price of an item you have pre-ordered is lower on the release date, Audible will fulfill the order as originally placed and immediately thereafter automatically refund your credit card for the difference between the price you were charged and the lower release-date price.

How do I pre-order an Audible audiobook?

In the app

Titles are available for pre-order in the Audible app.

1. Open the Audible app.
2. Select Discover.
3. Locate the Coming soon carousel to explore available titles.
4. Go to the title’s detail page.
5. Select Pre-order.
6. Select Confirm.

On mobile web

1. Go to the title’s detail page.
2. Choose a pre-order option:
   1. Pre-order Now with 1 credit
   2. Pre-order Now for $X.XX
   3. Note: Credits are only available to members who get them as part of their membership benefits.
3. Select Confirm purchase.

On desktop

1. Go to the title’s detail page.
2. Choose a pre-order option:
   1. Pre-order Now with 1 credit
   2. Pre-order Now for $X.XX
   3. Note: Credits are only available to members who get them as part of their membership benefits.
3. Select Confirm purchase.

How do I see my pre-orders?

You can view your pre-orders from your My pre-orders page.

Notes: 

• You can check the countdown timer on the title details page in your Audible app to see exactly when the audiobook will be available to listen in your library.
• You can also view your pre-orders within your Purchase history.

What happens to my pre-order if I cancel my Audible membership?

When you cancel your Audible membership, you'll keep all your pre-orders. If you used credits to pre-order titles, they're already applied to your pre-order and will remain secure even after cancellation.

For pre-orders paid by credit card, you'll only be charged when each title is released, even after cancelling your membership. You can cancel your pre-order anytime from Purchase history, located in your membership details.

Note: You can access your pre-ordered titles in your Library after they're released, even if you're no longer a member.
