Amazon’s Two-Step Verification is a security feature that adds a second layer of account authentication when signing in to your favorite Amazon sites like Audible.

Note: If you sign in with a username (ex: john123), you can’t enable Two-Step Verification.

How do I turn on Two-step Verification on my account?

Go to your Amazon account.
Select Login & security.
Select Turn on beside 2-step verification.
Select Get Started.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I turn off Two-step Verification?

Go to your Amazon account.
Select Login & security.
Select Manage beside 2-step verification (2SV).
Select Disable beside 2-step verification.
Enter the code sent to your phone number, or generated through the authenticator app.
Select Verify code.

How do I recover my account if I lose access to my Two-Step Verification method?

If you don't have access to your phone number, authenticator app, or backup credentials for Two-Step Verification, you can:

Sign in from a trusted device on your Amazon account to bypass the Two-Step Verification code.
Go to the Amazon.ca Contact Us page to recover your Two-Step Verification information.

How do I recover my account if Two-Step Verification fails?

To regain access to your account:

Go to Two-Step Verification Account Recovery.
Follow instructions to upload your ID document.
Ensure your name, address, and issuing authority are visible.
Cover any sensitive information like account or ID numbers.

Note: Verification takes 1-2 days. We'll email you when Two-Step Verification is disabled. You can then access your account with just your password.
